Sing in the City & Hanley and the Baird at the Usher Hall

Sunday 19th June 19.00

Tickets Here

This show has been a long time in coming.  We started to prepare for it back in 2019 before the pandemic.  The date has been rescheduled 3 times but finally tickets are on sale.

There will be 360 members of Sing in the City along with the Directors Kirsty and Annette and their band Hanley and the Baird and there will be special guests.  Songs from all decades to suit everyone.  Grab a ticket while there are some available and get back out to have a great family night out.

You can still take a FREE trial night or day at our choirs and you can still join while we prepare for these shows.  These songs will be used again at other events this year.  Send us an email for more information.  Meanwhile we look forward to seeing you at the Usher Hall

Usher Hall 2019

The last couple of years have undoubtedly been hard for us individuals, families and businesses. Now, it’s time to get back to singing, making friends, building confidence and doing something that will make us feel better. Take a look at our choir page and see where in Edinburgh, Fife and the Lothians they are situated and come and make friends, gain confidence and take part in fun amazing events.

Our aim is to make singing and music as accessible for everyone as possible.  At Sing in the City we consider ourselves to be ‘more than a choir’.  If you are looking for a friendly, fun, inclusive choir with a family feel, then come and take a FREE trial.  Join the choir that during a pandemic, had a No. 3 hit single, raised over £14,000 (raised over £150,000 in total) for charities and donated 59 Alexa speakers to Scottish Carehomes  and started our own radio station Chief Radio.  Kirsty Baird (BEM) is the winner of the Edinburgh evening new Local Hero award 2019 and 2021.

We are chasing dreams, making memories and have music, social, community and friendship at the heart of everything that we do.  We are very proud to have created an environment where age and ability are irrelevant but don’t take our word for it, come and speak to our team, our members and see for yourself.

We have a concession price for members who are over 65. Our attention to music, social, community and charity is second to none.

Let's get back to singing

In 2020/21 we kept singing right through lockdown, we sang online and kept everyone together and engaged with lots of new classes from drawing to painting, from guitar lessons to our book club.

Now in 2022 we have managed to get 10 choirs back to room rehearsals and are welcoming new members now for free trial nights.  Don't wait a moment longer, get in touch now.

What is our ethos?

There is no audition process unless you are interested in the Sing in the City Aw Blacks.

” We aim to provide a safe, warm, welcoming and inclusive rehearsal space  for members to sing at a level they choose”

outdoor rehearsal 3We appreciate that different members join a choir for various reasons, health reasons, to make friends, to have a hobby, to sing, to perform.  It dosn't matter why you join because we pride ourselves on providing something for everyone.  We put a lot of focus on community, social and charity and you have nothing to lose by taking a FREE trial night or morning with us.  We truly aim to be much 'more than a choir'
