Sing in the City isn’t just a job. It’s a family, a stage, a mission. Right now we are looking for dynamic, passionate, people loving singing coaches to join our ever growing team.
We are not your typical choir company and we don’t want typical choir coaches either.
What we are looking for:
- Confident singers who can lead a room and light it up
- People who can coach with kindness, humour and a good bit of attitude
- Experience in either teaching vocals or direction groups is a bonus but the right personality is even more important
You do not need to read music fluently but you do need to love it, live it and bring it to life for others
What you will be doing:
- Leading weekly choir sessions full of energy and fun
- Helping people of all abilities find their voice and their confidence
- Prepping for gigs, shows and major performances like the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo
Working alongside our creative management team to bring music to peoples lives and community

Qualities that will help you in your coaching career:
- A good strong singing voice
- A good understanding of harmony (notation is available)
- Confident leadership qualities
- The ability to inspire and encourage
- Team player qualities
- Have the use of a car
- Microphone and amplifier
- Playing an instrument would help but not essential
