Having busked twice in the summer Sing in the City were in the mood to busk more. So when Cancer Research asked us to get involved in their Shine Night walk of course we said yes.
We love a random event and standing in the cold and the dark at the foot of Arthur Seat in Edinburgh was right up our street. There was a drinks pit stop there for the walkers who had just walked down the hill into Queens Drive and there we were, kitted out with glow stick to welcome them.
Some of our members were actually walking and it was nice to see them coming round the corner and have them join us in a song.
Here is a quote from Cancer Research UK
‘I don’t even know where to begin. I have never received such positive feedback from both staff and participants regarding having a choir on our course. You did such an amazing job to create an unbelievable atmosphere for our participants and loved that people passing by stopped to listen.
Thanks to the whole choir for coming along it was an amazing turn out’
