Our Community Dreampot has worked along side Sing in the City since the beginning and now it’s being developed so it doesn’t just collect and donate money to charity, now it is going to provide FREE group singing sessions in various areas for people who would struggle to hold down a permanent place in the choirs because of ill health or affordability.
We were going to be in the Brunton Theatre anyway as we have a sold out show on the evening of the 2nd November 2019 with the Aw Blacks. We decided to put a choir together and with the Hanley and the Baird band in the afternoon and provide an hour long show to fund for these groups. Everyone is giving their time up for free to perform and we hope to sell out so we can fund singing groups throughout 2020.
The show will be what you have now come to expect from Sing in the City. It will be energetic and fun with songs from across genres. The Hanley and the Baird band will be amazing as per usual and Kirsty Baird will be on her best behaviour …. ok she likely won’t be but it should be funny.
