Kirsty Baird recently delivered a bespoke workshop for nurses working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) at the Royal Infirmary.
Drawing on her extensive experience in music, performance, leadership, and wellbeing, Kirsty led an engaging and interactive session designed to explore the positive impact that music, creativity, and connection can have on mental health and emotional wellbeing.
The workshop encouraged participants to step away from the pressures of their daily roles, engage in practical activities, and experience first-hand how music can be used to build confidence, reduce stress, strengthen communication, and foster a sense of community.
‘Dear Kirsty and Elaine, thank you for coming to the CAMHS nursing conference and creating such a positive energy with the nurses.
The contribution from “Sing in the City” helped to make our CAMHS nursing conference a huge success the nurses really enjoyed the
session you lead’

Kirsty’s warm and energetic approach created a supportive environment where attendees could connect with colleagues, share experiences, and discover new ways of incorporating creativity into their professional practice.
‘At a time when supporting mental health has never been more important, it was a privilege to work with such a dedicated group of healthcare professionals. We would like to thank everyone at the Royal Infirmary and CAMHS for their enthusiasm and participation’
