Annette Hanley and Kirsty Baird are Directors of Sing in the City but they are also singer songwriters and musicians.
They were thrilled to announce that they had been invited to open for Scottish music giants Skipinnish as special guests at three major dates on their Spring 2026 tour.
The band will took to the stage ahead of Skipinnish at the iconic venues of Stirling’s Albert Halls on 14 May, Dundee’s Caird Hall on 15 May, and Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on 23 May. These dates formed part of Skipinnish’s highly anticipated Spring 2026 Scottish tour.
For Hanley and the Baird, this was a another exciting milestone in what has been a remarkable journey. Known for their blend of heartfelt storytelling, humour, powerful vocals and unmistakable Scottish character, the duo have built a growing following through live performances, original music and their unique connection with audiences.
Sharing the stage with one of Scotland’s most successful contemporary folk bands is both an honour and an opportunity to bring their music to thousands of Skipinnish fans across the country. With Skipinnish continuing to fill some of Scotland’s most prestigious venues and celebrating a period of tremendous success, these performances promise to be unforgettable nights of Scottish music.
“We are absolutely delighted to be opening for Skipinnish in Stirling, Dundee and Edinburgh. We met Angus in 2025 for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo when we helped arrange his song Eagles Wing and then he further invited us to perform with them at the Ovo Hydro.”
