Busking days can be unpredictable, especially when you’re in the capital during Festival time! So, coordinating 600 members of Sing In The City is no mean feat.
With our fantastic team behind us, we successfully brought our singers together to perform at the Ross Bandstand Theatre in front of hundreds of people, before packing up and moving to the Mound to do it all over again!
Members of all ages came together to perform an energetic set featuring Taylor Swift, a Motown medley, Elton John and much more. Led by Musical Directors Kirsty Baird and Annette Hanley, the choir moved with precision, enthusiasm and plenty of personality, creating a fantastic atmosphere for everyone watching.
The day was not only about bringing music to the streets, our members also raised over £700 for our CIC, Hanley and The Baird Dreampot. The funds will help us continue to provide free concerts, free art and music sessions, and support our walking football group.
A huge thank you to everyone who sang, danced, supported and donated. It was a brilliant day of music, community and fun in the heart of Edinburgh.
