Western General have a 6 week Sing in the City staff choir which started on Monday 17th And paid for by Edinburgh & Lothians Health Foundation and we are very much looking forward to working with the staff there to start their choir.

A work place choir is exactly what it suggests. A choir in the work place that is right on their doorstep. No buses to hop on, no fighting for parking once you get to the choir venue. It’s all really accessible and on this occasion FREE to the staff at the Western.

Singing has been proven to be beneficial to help cope with stress, anxieties, depression and not only that, it’s an excellent place to socialise, make new friends, singing and music helps people stay positive and at the very least taking part in a choir rehearsal is 2 hours for you and a place to forget any worries.

Our professional team will lead the group and coach them to sing more confidently. They will teach them the basics of harmonies and add a little movement in and by the end of the 6 week course they will be ready for a performance.

If you would like a workshop or a work place choir, get in touch. We have been running choirs since 2010 and the Directors have worked in music all their life. You are in safe hands.

Also watch out for our SitC Pop Up choirs that literally ‘Pop up’ anywhere across Edinburgh, Fife and the Lothians. They are free singing groups and run voluntarily by Kirsty and the team to keep singing and music accessible to everyone.
